As seen clearly, Lagna is explicitly specified (Pisces lagna). The calculations in the chart count signs from Pisces lagna.
Inviting all teachers/students of BNN (Bhrigu Nandi Nadi) of Sri R.G. Rao - Do you think Sri RG Rao, author of book BNN couldn't understand this or did he totally missed it?
That forced Jupiter to be pronounced as fallback lagna by successive teachers. Later workarounds were invented e.g. use prashna chart with BNN chart minus real lagna.
